When I launched Labyrinth Integrated Movement & Bodywork in September of this year I knew there would be challenges my small business would face during these difficult times. I’m fortunate that I’ve had a community around me – family members, friends, the Centered Therapies community, and my wonderful clients to support my dreams becoming a reality. It’s solidified my belief that wellness is a community concern – it takes a village of people coming together and offering what they can to create an elevated quality of life for all. I’d like to play a part in being that kind of community member. For this reason, I’m launching a Wellness Assistance.
I am happy to announce that insurance credentialing is starting to come through for patients of our practice. Beginning December 1, 2020 we can bill directly to insurance for patients with Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa, Blue Cross of Illinois and Medicare patients. This means you will not pay for your appointment up front but we will instead bill insurance first for your services. We will only collect up front fees if your policy requires you to pay a co-pay for your office visit. We will bill your insurance first, then let you know if there is a balance due. This change extends to those insurances previously mentioned..

Covid-19 restrictions have been easing, businesses have been reopening, but the ripple effect of the closures have hit home at Centered Therapies. We are beyond grateful to be back to fully open but have to say goodbye to some amazing therapists. When massage therapy reopened in Iowa, Elisa Coffman with Room to Renew, decided to stay closed and monitor the regulations and constantly changing information on Covid-19. After waiting over a month, she reassessed and made a tough decision. At this time, Elisa Coffman (Room to Renew), will not be coming back to massage therapy. Elisa is a phenomenal massage therapist with 14 years of experience. This is a hard.

With the world rapidly changing due to COVID-19, healthcare is quickly responding in many ways. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Ronda Johnson with Wellness in You, LLC is able to host your functional, integrative health visits virtually and still comply with HIPPA and health insurance! Also, if you are worried about having to go to the lab for testing, most of the functional wellness tests can easily be sent directly to your home and mailed back to the lab. From Wellness in You, LLC: The new feature for virtual visits will allow us to see and talk with each other just as though you were sitting in the office with me. .
Once again, Iowa has extended the length of business closures. Massage, myofascial release, reflexology, and the infrared sauna are closed through April 30! We all miss our clients and our practices! Take care and hopefully this will be the last extension. If you want to support Centered Therapies and the therapists, you can purchase gift certificates online (CLICK HERE).
