In fourteen years of business ownership, I have written my share of business plans. Never did I have a section on mandatory closure due to a pandemic. (Massage therapists had to close this week.) This is a new chapter for everyone. This past week, I have done my best to stay up on information. (For those who know me well, watching the rhetoric of the news is not my favorite activity.) But information is changing fast, and I found myself supported by people helping me navigate. Thank you! I can’t lie, I had moments where the panic and fear set in. I have built my businesses out of a place.

In an effort to keep our office as clean as possible, reduce the amount of people in our space at one time, and reduce the risk for clients and staff, we have closed our infrared sauna down for the month of March. We will be monitoring information from reliable sources. At this time, appointments will be available for the sauna in April. If we feel the need to extend the infrared sauna closure, we will notify you through our website “News” and on our Facebook page.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are grateful to the healthcare workers, family, and friends carrying for and supporting those who are sick. We are closely monitoring the information from reliable sources and the safety of our clients, staff, and independent practitioners is our top priority. All our practitioners/therapists are independent and running their own practices. Each therapist has a choice to keep their practice open and adjust as information changes. Currently, all the therapists are remaining open. Our office is a small practice with typically less than 6 people in the office at one time and not in a group environment. Centered Therapies.
Coronavirus – Boost Your Immunity with Massage Therapy Right now, our country is focused on disease and fear. This stress makes our bodies more susceptible than ever to illness. We already have high standards for cleanliness at Centered Therapies, but being mindful of coronavirus, we will be frequently wiping down surfaces with commercial grade sanitizer (The label states it will kill coronavirus). Our table linens and towels are always washed after every session and our infrared sauna is disinfected after every use. We also already use scheduled deep cleaning. We all use good handwashing practices and have hand sanitizer at the front desk.
